Hi friends! Is it getting cooler outside or am I dreaming LOL! Houston’s weather has been so bipolar lately, it’s making my closet and I so confused! Last week I took a trip to Target for no reason and walked out with lots of goodies including this stunning plaid blazer! Plaid blazers are currently trending and I’m seeing them everywhere specifically in grays and browns. I’ve been on the hunt for a brown toned plaid blazer but everything I had seen online was 100 bucks or more! Luckily for me the one I picked up from Target was only 35 bucks! A complete steal, right?l! I purchased this blazer in a size Small but could probably have fit into an XS. Good thing oversized looks are a thing, which works out for me because well you know… #quarantine15 ! I had fun styling this statement blazer and came up with quite a few ways to wear it. Keep reading to find out how to style a plaid blazer for fall!
Work Wear
This plaid blazer is perfect for work. I paired this blazer with brown paper bag pants, however the colors on this blazer make it easy to mix and match with any colored pants!

The next 4 looks I’ll show you how to style a plaid blazer with jeans and how the color and style of your jeans can easily transform your look. All of the skinny jeans I own are from Madewell. They are on they pricier side but the quality is impeccable and I haven’t had to buy jeans in close to 3 years. Not to mention, they come in extra high waisted options and the fit is incredibly flattering! The next 3 looks I’ve worn my blue, white and black Madewell jeans with this blazer and each look is unique!
Casual Look with Blue Jeans
This look is the easiest of them all – pairing this plaid blazer with blue skinny jeans and loafers. This is 100% what I would wear to work on casual Fridays!

All White Jean Look
Does this look scream horseback riding or what!? I love how clean these white jeans make this outfit look and I love how the blazer stands out and is the main focus. These cognac colored boots are my favorited colored over the knee boot. I have them in cognac, black and gray (I mentioned I have a shopping addiction right? LOL). They are pricey but a great dupe for the Stuart Weitzman pair. The heel is only 2 1/4 inch which makes these super comfortable and I can wear them for hours with no complaints. The boots also hug my thighs and I have never had an issue with them falling down.

All Black Jean Look
If I was grabbing a drink with some friends after work or even a casual date night, this look would be right up my alley. Booties or over the knee boots would work!

Street Style
Here’s another look with jeans except I opted to switch the skinny jeans with my slouchy jeans. This look could be created with mom jeans, boyfriend jeans, balloon jeans etc. I swapped my top for a crop top and changed my loafers to slides!

Everyday look with Leggings & Sneakers
Throwing on a blazer with a long top and leggings is an easy way to dress up a casual outfit. I’m wearing these high waisted leggings from a local Houston owned brand by Bela Sutaria. The quality is great, not see through and they are extra high waisted #winning! Go check them out and use code ‘Vidhya50’ for 50% off your purchase!! Sizing does run small so make sure to size up! I would also wear my favorite faux leather leggings from Spanx with this look too!

Leather Look for Fall
This plaid blazer has hints of maroon so this burgundy leather skirt was the perfect match. A black, brown, red or any warm colored leather skirt would look great with this blazer too! I could wear it with over the knee boots or booties. As you can see in the picture below, the over the knee boots dress up this look more than the booties do.

Suede Skirt
I think this look might be my favorite! This suede skirt and knee high boots completes this outfit!

Faux Leather Shorts
Wearing a blazer with leather shorts creates a chic and edgy look. Add combat boots or lace up black boots for that an extra edge.

Dress it up
The last look is with a black bodycon midi dress and I dressed it up with a belt. It can be worn two ways, each creating a completely different look!
