Hi friends – Happy Friday!! It’s finally the weekend and it’s going to be a busy one for me. My boyfriend turns 30 today and my brother turns 23 tomorrow so I’m going to be busy stuffing my face with cake! With the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale going on until the end of the month (read more about my picks here) I wanted to talk about one item in particular: the Spanx faux leather leggings . These leggings are a closet staple so I thought it would be helpful to share how I would style them! They are currently on on major sale for $65 (usually $98) and are fully in stock at the moment! These leggings are not real leather, they just have a glossy finish making it look leather-like. When it comes to the fit, I would say they run a little small. I am typically a size small/4/26 and this specific pair is flattering but also skin tight. I have to wiggle around and do a little dance to get them up haha! The high waisted band is comfortable and makes you feel extra confident! I generally get the most use out of them in the fall and winter seasons because they are just too warm for me to wear in Texas heat. Keep reading to see 12 different ways to style these leather leggings!
Working Out
To be honest with you, the only time I pull these leggings out in the summer is to work out (not counting 2020 because I haven’t worked out once during this global pandemic LOL)! I’m wearing it here with the Spanx sports bra that I love but would also wear it with any of my work out tops because black goes with everything. These leggings are very flattering while keeping all the jiggle in place!

Plaid
Adding a white tee with these leather-like leggings gives you an effortless look. I like to wear a plaid shirt over a white tee to run errands. Quick tip – if you are ever wearing leggings and your shirt is too short or cropped like below, you can tie a shirt or jacket around your waist to distract from camel toes!! 😉
