Hellllllooo Monday, we meet again! As always, thank you for stopping by and reading my blog! I ended up having an unexpectedly jam packed weekend filled with social distance activities and now I need a few extra days to recover… so it’s one of those Mondays for me. Today let’s talk bike shorts! Bike shorts have been around since the 80s and I’m glad it made a comeback. I purchased my black bike shorts early last year and I LOVE THEM. I wear these the most when I work out, travel, attend sporting events, run errands, lounge around the house and of course, ride my bike! These bike shorts are available from XS to 3X and are excellent quality for the price you pay. I love the Spanx brand and how their products leave you feeling confident AF, no matter your size or shape. Since I wear the Spanx black bike shorts so much, I figured why not share a few ways I have been wearing them, especially during quarantine! Below are 5 super easy ways I would style them!
Casual Button Up Shirt Look
I commonly wear my bike shorts with sneakers for a more casual and comfortable look. Below I took an old plaid button up shirt and a white crop top for this look but a white t-shirt would also work. Also side note, your girl recently got curtain bangs and has no idea how to style them so please #sendhelp .

Working Out or Outdoors Look
I love wearing these bike shorts when I work out because the high waisted fit gives me the support and confidence I need. Wear these shorts with any work out top or a cropped work out top if you are feeling it! I also love to wear these if I’m hiking outdoors. They are super cute, comfortable and look trendy in pics!

Loungewear/Quarantine Look
High waisted bike shorts are great to wear with oversized tops. Whether it be an XXL t-shirt or sweatshirt, it’s warm, big and comfy – perfect for working from home and lounging around the house. I would totally wear this sweatshirt pictured below outside of the house, if it wasn’t 1000 degrees in Houston right now!

Sports Event Look
Oh man I miss going to basketball games! Mostly because it also meant date night and stuffing my face with pizza. I always look forward to dressing up for games, even though the only person I am trying to impress is myself haha. This is easily one of my favorite basketball game looks to date because its so simple and sporty. Just throw on an oversized sports shirt (hopefully yours has the Houston Rockets on it) with your bike shorts and you’re done. Gives you lots of space to stuff your face with all that junk food and beer LOL.

Dressed Up Blazer Look
I took this entire outfit to Europe last year and ended up not wearing it (probably because I packed a months worth of clothes and only went for 2 weeks LOL). This look would be great for exploring a new city or even to brunch with some girlfriends! I purchased the matching crop top from Spanx (it’s longer and more covered than an actual bra) and added a white blazer for a whole vibe. I love it!!

Hope you enjoyed these 5 easy looks with the Spanx black bike shorts! You could recreate these outfits with any bike shorts tbh. I also like to wear these bike shorts under my dresses and skirts for a little extra support…especially now after my non-existent quarantine diet! Do you own a pair of bike shorts? How else would you style them?! Let me know in the comments below 🙂 Have a great week friends and see you Friday!
