Last year I was on the hunt for the perfect basic bodysuit. You know the one that actually fits your body, isn’t see through and is reasonably priced? Well I’ve found it! Basic bodysuits are a great staple piece to own that can be worn to work, dinner, travel or with any outfit where you just wear your shirt tucked in! The Everlane Bodysuit is a great quality, affordable piece that every girl should have in their closet! Keep reading to find out more about this staple bodysuit and how to style it!
It’s helpful to know that my body shape doesn’t fit the average mold. My chest area sits higher than average, my torso is shorter than most and my arms are longer for my size (basically I’m disproportionate af LOL). So sometimes finding basic tops or bodysuits can be a challenge.
The Everlane bodysuit is made from supima cotton, double lined and stretches to mold closely to your shape, not to mention it is super soft! It honestly feels like I spent over 100 bucks on this bodysuit when I only paid 35! Think Zara pricing but MUCH BETTER quality. This basic crew neck bodysuit comes in a few colors and is available in XXS to XL (made in Sri Lanka – what what). They also give you the option of bikini or thong style, based on your comfort and preference. I purchased a white and black in size small. If you are in between sizes, I would size up! I love the sleeve length – not too short, not too long. I plan on picking up more of their bodysuit options and colors soon!
Here are a few basic ways how I would style this basic crew neck bodysuit:
A Basic Denim Look
Denim jeans or denim shorts with a basic white bodysuit makes a clean effortless and most importantly, a comfortable look!
High Waisted Anything
Any pair of bottoms that are high waisted looks great with a bodysuit. TBH I don’t think I could ever go back to wearing low rise. These high waisted paperbag shorts are perfect for a summer look!
A Work Staple
I’m pretty sure 99% of my work pants are high-waisted and wearing them with this basic bodysuit is an easy go-to work option. This bodysuit is perfect for work – conservative, great quality (aka not see through) and comfortable!
Hopefully this post inspired you to try the Everlane bodysuit or some of these simple looks with any basic crew neck bodysuit!
