Happy Thursday friends! It’s been a while since I’ve said hi on the blog and I need to be better about it! Two weeks ago Keeyan and I spent my birthday weekend in Las Vegas and it was the BEST TIME – we did it all! We dressed up, ate great food, drank amazing drinks, gambled, shopped, rode some dune buggies (more on that later) and even visited a state park! So if you are looking for a Vegas Itinerary for your next couples trip look no further! A mix of outdoors and indoors – this itinerary is perfect for couples or even friends who like to do it all from fine dining to getting dirty in the desert.
Duration
Our trip was from Friday to Sunday and we fit a WHOLE lot in. I have been to Vegas before and had the ultimate “Vegas Experience” but for this trip it was important for me to spend time winding down, relaxing and just enjoying my company. 3 days was perfect to do everything we wanted!
Where to Stay
We stayed at the Cosmopolitan this trip! My second choice would have been the Aria since these two are both relatively new compared to all the other hotels on the strip. The vibe at the Cosmo is modern and upbeat – close to so many great restaurants and bars, especially the infamous Chandelier Bar.
What to Do
This goes with out saying but there is TONS to do in Vegas for everyone of all ages. The city literally never sleeps. Here’s everything we did.
SunBuggies
So here’s the deal! I love outdoor activities and I’m all for trying new things and the adrenaline rush but Y’ALL be warned! Keeyan and I booked Sun Buggy weeks before and the process was smooth. The driver picked us up at 8am (got on the early tour since the it’s less hot and the price turned out to be cheaper) we got to the facility and were given instructions on how to use our buggies. I think that’s when I realized that I wasn’t going to be able to do it on my own. This isn’t like go karting where the track is enclosed. This is literally in the desert on a vehicle that can get stuck or flip over! I went 5 minutes on my own before flagging down the tour guide who let me get into Keeyan’s buggy. Thankfully he had a two seater for me to jump into!
Overall the experience was thrilling and a little scary at first (think mad max but real life haha!) I will say that if there wasn’t 5 other people with us and I was able to take my own sweet time I could have done it. It was having to keep up with a bunch of guys who weren’t scared which was the struggle for me! But definitely glad I got to try it!
Spa
Keeyan and I love couples massages and the amenities at most of the hotel spa’s on the strip make it hard to choose one! We ended up booking a session at the Sahra Spa at the Cosmopolitan which was very convenient. Make sure allocate a good couples of hours after your service to enjoy the hot tub and sauna while you are there!
Valley of Fire State Park
An hour and ten minutes from the strip you will enter a new side of Vegas with no flashing lights but the peaceful serenity of mother nature. If you are planning to visit this park, make sure to get there early to avoid cars and people – also for the best light! We were able to rent a car directly from our hotel so make sure to allocate time for pick up if you do plan to explore outside of the city. There is a $15 entrance fee (unless you are from Nevada) and about 5 minutes into the park you will hit these beautiful scenic views!
Seven Magic Mountains
The coolest art installation just 20 minutes outside of the strip is nice to visit if you have time! It won’t take long as there is not much to see besides the colorful rocks but still a fun site to see! Make sure to wear something colorful and head there early to beat the crowd or else you will have to figure out how to photoshop all the people out!
Where We Ate
Catch at the Aria Hotel
Perfect for my birthday dinner! I’ve been to Catch in LA and the food at vibe was equally as amazing in Vegas! Make sure to get their famous ‘Hit Me’ chocolate cake with ice cream!
Beauty and Essex at the Cosmopolitan Hotel
Perfect for apps and drinks before we waited for our dinner reservations! Similar to Catch, I’ve been to the Beauty and Essex in LA and NYC and the food, drinks and atmosphere is lovely!
Secret Pizza at the Cosmopolitan Hotel
Make sure to check out the secret pizza place that is open all night on the 3rd floor of the Cosmo. It’s not that secret when you see a bunch of people holding pizza coming out of a dark corner haha!
Tao at the Venetian Hotel
Had dinner at Tao and the food was amaze and reasonably priced. Make sure to get the Lychee Martini – it GLOWS and was SO good!
Boucherie at the Venetian Hotel
Located in the Venetian, Boucherie is a cute little spot perfect for pastries and brunch!
Lago at the Bellagio Hotel
Perfect for brunch with a view of the fountains and the Eiffel! I had the french toast that had ice cream on it and it was SO good!
All in all, had the best time ringing in 32! Who knew you could have so much fun in Vegas with your partner doing so many different things besides clubbing! Hope you found this Vegas Itinerary for couples (or friends) helpful! Feel free to comment or DM me on Instagram if you have any questions!
